This Return and Refund Policy applies to purchases made from karniksantiques.shop.

Our objective is to provide a fair and transparent procedure for returns, withdrawals, refunds, defective goods, damaged products, and incorrect orders.

Nothing in this policy limits mandatory rights available to consumers under French or European Union consumer protection law.

1. Statutory Right of Withdrawal

3. Return Deadline

Do not return products to an address obtained independently from search engines, carriers, or third-party websites.

4. Return Condition

Consumers may inspect products to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning in a manner comparable to what would reasonably be permitted in a physical store.

Customers may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary for such inspection.

Where reasonably possible, returned items should include their accessories, documentation, labels, components, and original packaging.

The absence of original packaging alone does not automatically remove statutory consumer rights.

5. Return Shipping Costs

For an ordinary change-of-mind withdrawal, the direct cost of returning the product is normally the responsibility of the customer where the customer was properly informed of that obligation.

If an item is defective, incorrect, damaged, or legally non-conforming, return-related costs will be handled according to mandatory consumer protection rules.

6. Refunds

7. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Products

8. Legal Guarantee of Conformity

This protection applies to eligible new and second-hand goods under applicable law.

Where a product is non-conforming, customers may be entitled to remedies including repair or replacement and, when the legal conditions are satisfied, a price reduction or termination of the contract and reimbursement.

These statutory remedies are separate from the 14-day withdrawal right.

Any commercial warranty offered by us or by a manufacturer is additional to, and does not replace, mandatory legal guarantees.

9. Second-Hand, Vintage, Antique and Unique Products

Where a product is specifically described as second-hand, vintage, antique, collectible, restored, aged, or unique, disclosed characteristics associated with its age or condition do not by themselves constitute a defect.

Product descriptions and photographs should therefore be reviewed carefully before ordering.

However, describing an item as vintage, antique, or used does not remove the customer's statutory rights concerning undisclosed defects or legal non-conformity.

10. Exceptions to the Withdrawal Right

The statutory withdrawal right may not apply to certain categories permitted by law, including, depending on the circumstances:

• Goods made to the customer's specifications
• Clearly personalised goods
• Goods liable to deteriorate rapidly
• Certain sealed goods unsuitable for return for hygiene or health reasons once unsealed
• Other goods or services expressly excluded by applicable legislation

Where cancellation is no longer possible, applicable statutory withdrawal rights remain available after delivery.

Simply refusing a delivery does not necessarily constitute a legally valid notice of withdrawal.

14. Refund Processing by Banks

After a refund has been issued, banks, card providers, or payment processors may require additional time to display the transaction.
